Poetry Selections -- Jerz: EL150 (Intro to Literary Study)
"The WORLD is so full of a number of things,
I'm sure we should all be as happy as kings."
I really liked this poem because it says that there is something in world for everyone. I liked how the word "WORLD" was captalized and emphaized because it is saying the entire world. THis was important because the world is full of many many things and offers everyone something to make them happy. Overall, this was a simple poem to read and was very straight forward.
This was my least favorite of the poems we had to read today, but I really like your interprutation of it. I totally didn't read it like that at all. It was the first one I read and I wasn't really in "poetry mode" yet. I agree with you though, there is something in this world for everyone. We could all be happy.
