Well, I guess I should first welcome you to my blog! My name is Beth Anne and I am a sophomore here at SHU, majoring in English Education and minoring also in Journalism. For this blog, however, I have chosen to take a slightly different angle rather than discuss education. I have played softball ever since I can remember and it is something that is very near and dear to my heart, so naturally my ideas were centered around the sport.
This year at Seton Hill, the softball team is starting over. We have a new coach and it's a new year, sure to bring about plenty of changes. So I want to profile our team's struggles as we form a new program and forge a new team. We know it's going to be difficult, but my hope is that other teams will be inspired to turn things around as we are!
Coaching is also another one of my interests, so I will be commenting on different articles and techniques that I find either effective or not effective, so look for some of that too. I think coaching and teaching are almost one in the same, and I have a lot to learn, which I want to share with you as well.
But overall, I'm excited to share my experiences and ideas with you so please feel free to share yours with me in response!
