Blood! Guts! Gore!

What do you associate these words with?

I am sure that everyone is aware of the publicity surrounding the movie "The Passion Of The Christ" and some have probably went to see it already. Actually, with the massive response this movie has created, I'm sure that more than a few people have gone to see this movie. I say this because I am one of them.

I went and saw this movie on Saturday evening and it lived up to everything that was said about the brutality that there was. The movie was intense, that is for sure. I appreciated the movie and the dipiction of events that happen during the last few hours of Jesus' life. I think that the brutality of the scourging and killing of Jesus brought life to events of the Bible and that makes people react. The pure bloodiness is enough to make a weak-stomached person sick and it makes everyone quiet as they are leaving the theater. It made me think and I think that is what was desired from this film, to make people think.

Anyone else see the movie? Thoughts?

i liked the movie, people say it shouldnt be that violent, what the hell do people think he went through? the part of it that is hard for us teenagers to understand is how god gave up his son to that kind of torcher, could u sit there and watch one of your parents get torchered like that? I dont know about you but if I was god it would be very hard for me to sit there and let that happen i would be whippin that ace

I just saw the movie...I am probably, as you know, the biggest wuss when it comes to blood and guts, but I was able to watch this entire movie. It was almost like I was making myself do it. The difference between the violence and the blood in this movie is that it's not being done just for the shock factor. I kept trying to tell myself throughout the movie that it was just a movie and that it wasn't real, the catch is though...that it is. This movie is real, and the tears running down my face through the entire thing completely sum up The Passion of the Christ. Mel Gibson did a great job, I think he got the message across and opened a lot of people's eyes to religion that they maybe had been starting to lose. It was a great movie...intensely powerful in a good way.
