A Closing Curtain
"For we need our safe places in this world, there are far too few" (Whitehead 343).
This is one of the few times in the novel where I see a sensitive side to J. I also thought it was interesting to open the last part of the book with closed curtains. It was like he was closing the novel and literally closing the curtain. Maybe Im the only one that finds that interesting....
I think curtains being mentioned in the end fits because the book itself is like a curtain making you wonder what's happeing.
Yeah I agree. There is always a curiosity about what happens behind the scenes. I think we got to see behind the curtains and see what was going on with the characters. Now its over and the curtains close.
