Journey in Young Goodman Brown

I had to read this many times to totally understand the whole story and during one of those times i realized that though it may have seemed like a short journey in the story, YGB's journey could be a representation of his whole life.  To me the walk in the park was a flash of his life before his death.  He came in contact with people that had good and bad impacts in his life.  This was just something i thought about as i was reading it and didn't know if anyone else had the same thought.

I think it could be a path of life, but I think the path represented a challenge, go on your own or stay with the family. The devil strayed him while on his journey.

I agree with Jeremy. The devil definitely strayed YGB on his travels. I see the journey as a challenge as well.
