Eureka!

Hamilton, Essential Literary Terms (98-111; 150-166) -- Jerz: EL150 (Intro to Literary Study)

"..sudden overwhelming insight or revelation evoked by a common place object or scene..."
I know what an epihany is but when I think of it I just think of a lightbulb going off above someones head. What I didn't know about epihany's was that their usually caused by an object, like someone sees a lamp and they understand life. I guess it makes more sense since you can't see the lightbuldb in a book
