Stories of Trains, Hospitals and Baseball Fields.
"If you are having trouble getting started, look out
the window. The whole world is a story, and every moment is a miracle."
I think this is a helpful tip. After I read this, I looked out my own window. Everything has a story to it. I see athletic fields which holds stories of victories and losses. There is a train, a hospital, and cars. The train could tell a story filled with mystery and a hospital a story of tragedy or hope. They each have multitudes of stories to them. I am even finding myself now thinking of different stories to write. This brainstorming technique of looking out the window is an effective one.

I never thought everything could have a story to it, but i guess it does. You have great insight. It will help as you are writting your short story.
not even looking out of a window has to bring motivation. what about other things like watching the news, there are so many ideas there that could be brought out and make into a fictional story. my horror and suspence professor told us that the news just provides all the details and you just add the rest in. its a neat way to look at things isnt it?
I love how much a person can get just from looking out a window. From my window, I can see DeChantal and windows that lead to dorms. I wonder what might be going on behind those windows and curtains, who might be happy or upset, who might be taking a nap or fighting with their calculus homework. You could write a story about lost love in that residence hall, or about new friendships. Anything is possible, and I think that that's what important as a writer, that you can make anything happen.
