Reunion with a long lost friend
This week, I was reunited with something that I've been missing for the past two years. That something is coffee. I know it's lame, but I've missed drinking it!
I stopped drinking it when I realized that my body was dependant on it. I would get headaches if I didn't drink any for the day. That's when I decided to cut coffee from my life. I would enjoy a cup here and there, but it never agreed with my body. So, to avoid discomfort, I stopped drinking it altogether. Recently, I started drinking it again. The first cup bothered me. The second cup only bothered me a bit. By the third cup, I built up a tolerance.
I can't help but appreciate how delicious coffee is, and that makes me happy! I know that there are millions of people out there who can't help but appreciate coffee too! But with our busy lifestyles, most people probably just toss that coffee down their throats because they need the energy to go, go go. What if we just slowed down?
Really. Just stop.
Take a sip.
Enjoy it.
Treat it like it's your first cup.
The first cup is always the best! :)

I had a frappuccino a few years ago and that was the extent of my adventure into the coffee world.
My people give me puzzled looks when I tell them I'm a college student who doesn't drink any form of coffee. I'm just not a big fan of caffiene. Heck, I stopped drinking Mountain Dew like a year ago. But who knows, maybe I'll try it one day.
I heard one time that growing up is whenever you stop putting chocolate syrup in your coffee. I refuse to accept this statement. Black coffee – 2. Breakfast blend coffee with Nesquik and a splash of milk – 10. Also, I heard Amaretto goes good with coffee, but I don’t know if you’re old enough for that.
Okay so I was going to just say that my friend has forced coffee down my throat until it kind of just grew on me....but then I read Matthew's comment and I wonder why the heck neither she (my friend) nor I have thought of that! It sounds like a cupful of deliciousness!
I ADORE coffee. Mr. Tim Horton and I are best friends. I may or may not have a 2 lb. bag of Tim Horton's beans in my kitchen. It's the only coffee I'll drink black. Other than that, the best thing in the coffee world is the pumpkin spice frappacino. :)
Haha-- I might be old enough for Amaretto, but I'm going to have to agree with Stephanie, the Nesquik combination sounds delicious! I've had vanilla ice cream in coffee; that's pretty delicious too. Black coffee is a little too intense for me, but pumpkin spice is delicious!!
I've been drinking coffee since I was 14. It's simply become habitual. My favorite has to be french vanilla hands down.
