SHU's First Homecoming!

I really don't feel like updating this today because I'm so tired, but I will. Homecoming was a blast--despite the rain sneaking up on us all day... Food, music, sports, dancing: it was all a wonderful time. If you missed it, well, you MISSED out. The tent on Sullivan lawn was a great place to eat and dance, but throughout the day it appeared that we were taking on water! There were puddles everywhere, and if your shoes weren't muddy from being at the field for the games, they got their mudbath under the tent--that's how much mud there was! *ick!* I'm not a big fan of mud, but whatever. The concert was good, even though I couldn't hear afterwards. And the dance was a nice way to end the whole day--and I was ready for it to end because I was exhausted! B^)

How was everybody else's homecoming experience? :)

Hey Karissa, I'm finally reading your blog!!! :) I had so much fun this weekend, but it wasn't as much fun as the foam party SHU had last May at the now non-existent faculty house. They need to do another one of those. I'll tell you about it later. I'm glad you had fun, and read my blog, too!

Have you ever been to Rolling Rock Town Fair?

There was so much mud at the last one at the Westmoreland Fairgrounds that camera lenses had to be wiped off periodically.

What a great pictures they were! Although some "things" in the pics, such as private areas exposed on film had to be wiped out for public consumption. Talk about censorship. It was funny seeing the uncut versions though.

You know, friends you go to school with so drunk out of their minds that they don't care what they expose. It was great. And really nasty all at the same time. Kinda Woodstockian.

I can't say that I've been to that fair, Amanda. Um, sounds like a real blast, but I'd really rather not be around muddy, incoherent, drunk people--no matter how funny they may be. Actually, scratch that; I'd rather just not be around muddy people, incoherent people, or drunk people, if I'm given a choice. :) That might sound rude, but this is my blog and I'll say what I want.

So there.

Karissa, again I agree with you! I had a BLAST at homecoming despite the mud and the "problem" that has arisen from it, but what can you do? I think that I had to have had the muddiest shoes and socks, lol. Oh well!

Hey Karissa- So sorry it took so long for me to respond back. The foam party last year was on the last day of school (Battle of the Buildings, a.k.a. BOTB) and it was in the now non-existent faculty house. Boy, was it squishy!!! If you want to ask later, please do!)

:-0 BOO!
