Paired five.
I find myself a-blogging here today
Fulfilling exercise from Dr. Jerz.
I could be more productive with my hours
Aerobic writing I viewed as absurd...
Mere "busywork" to rob me of dear time...
Shakespearian iambs flood'd pages,
My brain screaming loudly in outrages:
"You're not to think in blank verse all the time--
And, God forbid! You shan't e'er speak in rhyme!"
I'd reach'd my wit's ends, my words blurr'd my sight
Hark! I hear the tidings of my lost speech:
"Limited form 'tis moot and will not reach
The thoughts you have within your head to write."
"Okay," said self. "I see the rules too tight."
And see, I rhyme to please myself--not you
Iambs paired five to fit the pattern, true...
God! That's math! In writing?! And now I'm through.
(Make sure you click the link, a laugh is due.)
*An explanatory sentence: the Intro. to Lit. class was a bit lost on the syllabus, and wasn't prepared to take our quiz on "As You Like It;" thus, we blog in iambic pentameter until our quiz on Thursday--and this is my rant.

I want to blog something, but I am going to look like an idiot. Yours works. I really stink at stressed and unstressed syllables.
Dang.
