Okay, so I'm a dork sometimes...

Similarly, a Virginia newspaper reports the naming of "a Batman Road," along with an explanation that "it has nothing to do with the legendary caped crusader; it's drawn from the Batman family that lived in the area."
-Jeffrey McQuain's English: American Style, How Americans Invented Themselves and Their Language

Here are the rules, direct from Dr. Jerz's blog:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.

Just continuing the amusement... : )

Ok...from the faith book "Living Justice":

23rd page, fifth sentence:

Just kidding there were only four sentences on the page!

Haha, that is cute! Only 4 sentences... hmm. Were there a number of visuals, perhaps? ;^)

Thanks, Dr. A! I like that one, too. All this randomness makes me happy! :^D

I thought this blog that you posted from Dr. Jerz was sooooo exciting. I forgot about it for the longest time and I was so happy to finally be able to write what I found on page 23 (which is weird because its my favorite number)!

The book I found closest to my desk was "Message in a Bottle" by Nicholas Sparks. He is my all time favorite author and I always keep one of his book beside me daily.

Page 23 starts out Chapter 2 actually... it reads:

Theresa felt embarrassed and wiped her eyes as Deanna put down the newspaper and rose from her seat.

This is the part of the book when Theresa discovers the letter in the bottle and she is feeling the pain Garrett went through while writing the letter.

PLEASE read this book anyone, its the best!!!

Thanks for the fun assignment!
