The best things in life are
cappuccino.
Or even better--FREE cappuccino!
That's right, I scored some free frothy French vanilla this morning. How? Actually, that's the interesting part.
All I did was walk in to the gas station, half-dead because this week's new non-stop schedule is wearing me out. I selected the 16 oz. cup for 99 cents, and moved towards the cappuccino machine to be greeted by a man with his hands firmly wrenching the guts of the apparatus.
"Oh, sorry, Miss. What flavor did you want?" said Mr. Fix-it.
"French vanilla," I replied.
"Well," he sighed, "that would be the one that ain't workin'."
The cashier chimed in, "My luck always works like that, too."
Dazed from the lack of caffeine, all I could utter was "oh."
--three minutes pass--
*buzzing of the cappuccino machine*
Mr. Fix-it asks for me to hand him a cup, so I gave him the one I was patiently (and hopefully) holding.
*more mechanical popping and grinding*
"There you go... Hey Darlene, don't charge her for this one."
And there you have it. Free cappuccino.
What a great way to start the day--just when the week was dragging me down!
