Since this will be my last drama wildcard, I wanted to say goodbye & good luck to everyone in our class. It has been a fantastic semester and I had a great time. I came into this class thinking I had nothing more to learn (damn senioritis), but I was wrong. I not only developed a more keen sense of myself, but also of those around me. Everyone one of you has touched me & I thank you all.
Katie Jo-You know I love you my dear, and thank you for all the help you've given me this year. Just think, only one more semester. Don't worry, you're going to do fantastic in law school!
Gina-It's been a long haul, but we made it! Good luck in all you do and remember to smile--it confuses people. :-)
Kayla-You are quick & clever & I really look up to you. Hope the next few years treat you well.
Lorin-You're one of the brightest and loveliest people I know--never change. You bring a freshness and great insight to every class.
Sean-You're bright & funny & I have every faith you're going to excel in whatever you do.
Chera-I not only admire your intelligence, but your athletic ability as well. Bless you for the grace that I so obviously lack. Stay strong & you will go so far.
Denamarie-You are such a sweetheart & it was an honor & joy to get to know you.
David-Keep up the jokes & always stay optimistic. Your brightness & fresh outlook are great assets.
Andy-You are such a great guy; remember to always keep your positive attitude & you'll do great both academically & athletically.
Amanda-So lovely & smart--you're a perfection combination of great characteristics.
Rachel-Basically you're just all together awesome. You're going to do amazing things.
Danielle-Your quietness & sweetness added such a positive ingredient to our class.
Kevin-Ever the patient gentleman, your outgoing personality is your greatest asset.

Since I have been a bit drab on the comment scene lately, I figured it was time to execute the....comment grande.
Lamb - I was skeptical from the doomed days of Pierre and Mack trucks as to just how far our friendship would make it. But, as you said, we foster differences that only can lead to growth. Fortunately, this semester, I grew - a lot. ThankyousomuchLamb, for always being there to listen to me complain about work, to do homework with, and write the friendship blogs with - certainly, Dr. J, appreciated that wave of creativity.
You know I love you more as the days pass. But more importantly Lamb, thank you for being a friend and a confidant. I love you more than Mack trucks love airbrakes....
Gina-It's nice to see a familiar and friendly, (and similiar thinking) face in class. You've certainly become a wonderful person to trade quips with this semester, Gina. Thanks for being there, always.
Kayla-Well Kayla, I know I am your role model, you tell me this on the daily. Now, let me tell you something, (said in accent similar to that of an injured tall knife wielding yetty): Kayla, you inspire me, as well. Had I to do it all over again, I would have been as thoughtful as you certainly always are in your reflections. I am very proud of you, Miss Sawyer. And whatever you do, always read like I do, analyze like I do, and pay proper attention to detail because that's where the life of literature hides. You are going to be a good one.
Lorin-What can I say? You say villagers, I say English people. But the art of compromise brought our little Hamlet group together. Skills like that, to facilitate compromise and mediate are always in demand. You are a smart girl, Lorin and will do well. There are no doubts about this.
Sean-Whenever I am walking through an empty parking lot on a Friday afternoon, I know I can count on you to be there to tell me stories. Thank you for keeping me entertained outside of class and in class. You are a pensive, thoughtful person and to you I wish the best years of your life on the Hill. Enjoy it now :)
Chera-Chera, Chera, Chera, remember when I got trapped in your building? Well, I hope this teaches you that while I may not have all the common sense in the world, I will certainly be there at any time to help. And thank you for always being there to have in-depth, soul sharing talks. Good luck in love and basketball :)
Denamarie-OH MY GOODNESS....I know I shouldn't even be blogging but be at the gym. You'll have that. Denamarie, you've really grown this semester - you are so thoughtful and have such fresh perspectives. Best of luck to you in all you do and just remember, if you ever need an ear to listen or someone to workout with - I am only a phonecall away. Goodluck with softball, as well as school! (It will all work if you follow my extensive workplan...haha)
Amanda-And speaking of phonecalls, thank you for listening to my Cinderella hour gripes. I will tell you, Miss Amanda, I see a lot of my freshman self in you. By the time you are a senior, I am CERTAIN that someone will write about your blonde hair and giggling. And when this day comes, you will feel honored and want to cry. Don't shut the door to that person, though. You never know what sorts of mayhem you may miss. And as for mayhem, I will see you Friday for all the hot gossip.
David-Between toting your guitar into class and delivering excellent reflections, it has been wonderful to watch you capture the arts. You are always in an outstanding and pleasant mood. I wish you the best of luck with your SHU career.
Andy-What can I say? You are probably my role model. Had I been a basketballer, had I been an English major...oh wait, I am. Andy, I am proud of seeing all the things you have accomplished. You are going to do so well, at cross country, at basketball, and with the English. I wish you the best of luck, and thank you for all the help with all the footfingers and the finer points of basketball. And thank you for remembering my penchant for 50....You are precious.
Rachel-Of all the people I regret not getting to know better, it is probably you. Even though literature is not your favorite, you are going to be a hit on the journalistic scene. Thank you for you very different points-of-view in class, and goodluck in all you do!
Danielle-Why ever did you sit clear across the room? We could have had so many laughs, but no - it was Timbuktu for you. Your reflections in class were also so interesting. Keep up the good work in the coming years :)
Kevin-Oh, Kevo.....I am not going to say the rest of it. Thank you for being my breakfast companion, even though you failed to divulge the details of your life. There is always next semester for opening the chapters of Kevin. Your bright demeanor will be missed...but never fear, the next time I bounce to 50, I will keep you in my mind...since you think it is so funny.
I love you all!
Posted by: Katie Aikins at November 30, 2005 03:24 PMWOW!!! What can I say about the two leaders of our Drama as Lit. army. I just want both of the Katies to know that without you, none of us would have survived. And I mean that in all seriousness. You two showed us exactly what we were supposed to do, and you really are my role models. You were there when each one of us freshman had our panic attacks. You would say, listen, it's okay! Even though that did nothing to improve the situation, somehow it still made us all feel better. Once again I thank you and I think I speak for the whole class in saying that we couldn't have done it without you!
Good luck at whatever you do, you'll both be great someday!!!
Posted by: Andy LoNigro at November 30, 2005 09:04 PMI have to agree with Andy. You two are the head of the Drama army lol. I know that I never really asked directly for help from either of you but your "wisdom" that you spoke in the class made it a lot easier for me to do my reflections and my papers. You made me realize that it really was ok and that I would get through it. Since you've had a few years under your belt, I LOVED hearing what you both had to say. And by the way, Katie Lambert I want to thank you for getting Jerz to postpone the final paper until Wednesday. That was like the best Christmas present I've ever gotten lol. I just want to thank you both really for everything that I've learned from you two. So thank you lol.
