The Elements of Journalism, Chapter 8: Engagement and Relevance

Journalists must make the significant interesting and relevant.

Do they really though? I know the staff on the Setonian make sure they do. But do writers in the Trib-Review? What about the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette? I don't think they always do, but I know they try.

But it's hard, mainly because what's relevant AND interesting to one person, may not be interesting to another person.
