Journalists have an obligation to personal conscience.
Every journalist--from the newsroom to the boardroom--must have a personal sense of ethics and responsibility--a moral compass. What's more, they have a reponsibility to voice their personal conscience out loud and allow others around them to do so as well.
Basically, to me, this says it's ok to show your bias, as well as you do so in order to prove a point or you're writing an editoral. But, as a journalist, you should allow others to do the same.
I could be totally off-base, target or whatever you want to call it. But that's what that means to me.
Let me put a few facts of my own on here, as an example.
-I hate the Bush Administration
-I hate Morgan Spurlock and other health nuts that think they can tell me when, how, and what to eat.
- I hate the Iraqi War.
- I hate taxes.
- I hate people that hate (I purposely said a contradiction.)
and what I hate most of all...
RELIGIOUS NUTJOBS WHO THINK ITS OK TO SHOVE THEIR BELIEFS DOWN MY THROAT AND EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THE SAME THING THEY DO!
Now that I got my views out of the way..what are some of yours..? I would LOVE to hear them, debate them, and make sure everyone gets his/her time to speak.
