So how do I feel about blogging...let's see.
I think it's a great tool to have access to in order to see how my classmates are reacting to the material we cover in class. Some people (such as myself) may not want to speak up much in class, so they have the option of typing it out on here and still get heard and commented on. So I think thats a great idea right there in itself. However, when it comes to just sitting down and typing out a blog, i find myself not doing so for my pleasure or for writing out thoughts and happenings in my day. I only really write in here whenever I am assigned to in class, or when i realize i have a blog portfolio due and i need some more blogs. But, occassionally, I think it's fun to comment on other people's opinions and ideas and to get some feedback on things that i say as well. So, yeah, it's a cool thing, whenever I have the time to do it :D
Posted by MeghanKite at April 16, 2004 03:47 PMI am also looking into blogging for a college assignment. Some of the research I am finding, of course, is pointing out the cons of blogging, which are: some students creating journals that are crammed with violence, drugs, and sex; however, in my opinion that may be the only place they feel that they can talk about these daily issues that they face without getting someone in trouble - kind of a venting mechanism, which is better than bottling up all of life's stresses. What do you think? M
Posted by: Michelle at October 21, 2004 03:29 PMI think that everyone has their own rights as a blogger.. they chose what they write in it and that is their business. the people who are affended have a choice to read it or not. some of the rights that the blogger has are 1. the freedom of speach 2. the freedom to express their own feeling. 3 and many others. I am a blogger and i do it for fun. I have been one for almost 2 years. And i have never stumbled upon someone that is very affended by what i write. They can simply choose to not read it and it would be fine ~school kid doing a report~
