Wow, that's a surreal image. After the recent tsunami, I'll never look at a wave of water again, but the figure seems to be walking on top of it with no trouble. Is this an optimistic, perhaps even heroic representation of the daily commute?

Yes, i believe people today are challenged through different types of currents each day. In this picture some might look at it as if the figure travels through all the currents and gets to the top of the escalator then there will be some sort of reward or relief of some kind. Im not sure, i just like the photograph.

Nice image, Melissa. That's really thought-provoking. Could it be a biblical representation, with the "walking on water" reference and the escalators representing our choices in life? Just a thought.
