risky business
it seems to me that the most obvious trasfer of power in the MySpae movie come in the scene with the arguing couple. the guys seems to thing he has the power initially and think nothing of the situation. He has his password, his computer, and knowledge his girlfriend wants. By being a pushover boyfriend to the phyco-obsessive girl, he eventul surrenders his password, and with it all the information on his page. power transfer. Now the girlfriend finds all the pictures that the boyfriend doesn't want her to see.
In terms of risk-taking i think this is an excellent example. You could catagorize the guy as being the type that likes to put all of his dirty little secrets wihtin reach of his girlfiend; the type that pretends to want to keep things hidden away but in actuality, wants to be found out.
In my opinion his is a common trait of a lot of MySpace users. It seems like all the stuff that people wouldn't normally say, or want other people to see somehow ends up on their page. it's almost as if MySpace allows people to almost assume another identity completly. All of the things people dont express in public become the topics of interest on their page. They let the false sense of security of writing make them feel as if nobody is going to read or see the information but them. In this sense they are unknowingly taking many risks.
