MY WEBSITE FOR EX 6 ASSIGNMENT - look at it
http://people.setonhill.edu/pri4272/Nightlife.html
This is the link to my website for ex 6. It's just a rough start
here are the usability test questions I came up with for whoever looks at it to use:
1. Do all the links on the page, thus far, work correctly?
2. Do the links take you to informative home pages?
4. If your not 21, what do you want to see to do for nightlife?
5. Honestly does this site make you want to go out and try these places?
5. On a scale of 1-10 how much do you feel like goin out to Pittsburgh after viewing this page? (1 being not at all and 10 being I Definitly want to go out and party!)
just a reminder that this is a rough start
So if you need a site to look at for weds look at mine and get back to me on my blog...THANKS

Very nice text, picture, and easy-to-use...I want my site to be set up in kind of the same way because I liked your format a lot.

I'm too lazy to even summarize my response questions and even though you'll have a copy in class, here are my suggestions and reactions.
Great job Rach!
1. All the links were working and they are appropriate places.
2. The homepages offer enough info.
3. I’m 22, but for those under, you could include places like Dave and Buster’s, maybe suggest attending upcoming games and concerts, etc. Also mention up-and-coming restaurants. While we like to drink, I know like two people who don’t so make sure you include other non-alcoholic outings for more conservative people.
4. I’ve been dying to try the Tiki Lounge and maybe you could recommend some of your favorite drinks and food from these places and even where you can get good deals on parking or nights to go (Ladies Night,) etc. I’d like to know and I think it’d be cool if you get personal with your audience that way. You got me interested, so now I’ve got many questions (which is good).
5. 9. I’m always up for fun, but not knowing my way around Pittsburgh and being on a budget, I want to know where to park and how I can get the most bang for my buck.
My only suggestions would be:
-Add drinks and food you recommend, if you want.
-Suggest good days to go
-Maybe add some more pics, but your site is really good as it is! Pittsburgh here I come!

1. Yes, your links definitely work and I think that they are linked appropriately since your users get to see the site of the place you are talking about.
2. Yes, Rachel, you use good links to provide information to your users, and you link them effectively by using keywords so that users know what to expect when they click.
4. I'm 21, but I don't drink. Now, I know I could go to these places and not drink, but why would I want to pay a cover charge? How about listing some more places in the area that don't require cover charges, or maybe aren't "club" or "bar" related. How about more active activities? I know that PPG Place opens in the wintertime for ice skating. Other kinds of active things would be cool to link to, since some of those activities are run through the evenings.
5. Well, since I'm not much of a clubber or bar-goer, as I said before, probably not. You might try listing average prices for these places, too. Use some sort of a scale with an image to show your users quickly if this is a place they think they can afford, since we're all strapped for cash as college students!
5. 6+ I guess "night life" isn't a topic that I should advise on, since I'm non-participatory at best, but if my friends saw one of these places on your site and wanted to go, I might get dragged along. It might not be so bad if they were like, "hey go check out this site and tell me where you think you'd like to go." Then if you had some more options I would probably pick a place I think that me and my friends would all enjoy :) nice site, Rachel.

Rachel, I really liked your site. It wasn't cluttered nor did it have too much information, just enough. The links were presented and the blurbs were there...good job!

1. I tried all of the links, and they worked fine.
2. Yes, they do.
3. I would like to go to nice restaurants and such, like the ones you put on your page. :)
4. Yes, I actually felt excited just looking at this page and all of its links!
5. I am only 18, so I can't really party too hard yet...But this site seriously did make me want to go out and have a good time! I can't wait till I'm 21!:)
You really did do a nice job with your site, Rachel...
