Those Were The Days

I returned on Sunday night from a library conference in Nashville. This necessitated taking numerous flights since you can’t get there from here anymore. It made me a bit nostalgic about the good old days of flying and although I am not old enough to remember this type of service I do remember good service, roominess, free food, and showing up for a flight with just enough time to run to the gate. I love this old Pan Am commercial from YouTube. I especially love the woman with her cigarette and the fantastic food—on my flight I made do with a package of Twizzlers!
