Just thinking

I was just sitting here and thinking about the fact that everyone has gotten so involved in the disscussion about same sex relationships. Why?
There are those who are against it which I can understand and then there are those who are gay which I understand the view that they have.
Why do other people fight for the rights of gay people? Is it because they are the ones aware of the past and how people have been treated?
I understand that every faith thinkins that being gay is wrong and I would not take this issuse into a church. But, here is what I ask, Why can't two people od the same sex fall in love and be together, and have a wedding that is not in a church?
One last question which I know will make everyone mad. For the people who are against it what difference does it make to you? You are not being forced to be gay and you dont have to have any part in it, so why is it such a big deal why can't we just let them be happy?

Based on your statements, where does moral decay of a society end? I believe the quote of "No nation falls until it decays from within" is apra pro here. Where do we go with your sentiments from here. To making excuses for the Ted Bundy rape and pilage types of this world. Wake up and look around, what you ignore today or turn a blind eye to tomarrow may come around in the near futrue and bite you in the a--!

Decay is relative to what you personally value. If you value denying rights to people based on to whom they choose to spend the rest of their life with, of course you will be firmly against gay rights.

The "morals" used in your argument as rationale for discrimination seem remeniscent of the rationale that the civil rights movement fought. Morals are constantly changing and being redefined. When basic civil liberties are stripped of any tax-paying and law-biding citizen, morals are obstructing justice. I would argue that our country was not based on morals, but justice.

If you feel like our society is decaying morally, when did it begin?

Next, have you ever met a homosexual before? Homosexuals are people. It is impossible to tell if someone is gay just by looking. Anyone around you could be gay, your barber, neighbor, friend, relative. About one in every twenty people is gay, bi, or transsexual.

Heterosexism is a pervasive problem in America. I see nothing wrong in letting two consenting adults have a relationship. It does not hurt anyone. There is no logical reason to take away these basic, fundamental human rights from anyone.
